    The Yard Helper is responsible for assisting with, inventory, and plant/ general equipment maintenance needs around the production facilities to ensure efficient operation.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Safely loads and unloads of trucks and product
    • Assists in the manufacturing of emulsions material as needed
    • Follows specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments
    • Performs housekeeping and general plant maintenance
    • Inspects equipment and reports needed repairs to supervisor
    • Ability to obtain general knowledge of products & plant operations
    • Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Basic computer skills
    • Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift, company will provide the required training for the right candidate
    • Scheduling flexibility
    • Basic mechanical knowledge
    • Excellent math skills
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
    • Ability to perform heavy physical labor exposed to weather elements, noise, dust, and temperature extremes (hot/cold), and dirty/greasy environment
    • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with challenges/issues
    • Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
    • Ability to absorb and retain formalized training

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Bilingual candidates preferred
    • Valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
    • General Construction experience
    • Knowledge of the industry is a plus
