Job summary
The Support Specialist – Acute Care establishes and maintains a safe environment at all times through on-going assessment of milieu environment and intervenes as indicated in the care plan as well as by nursing or physician order.The position provides skills training and development to clients as required by medical necessity outlined in the care plan. This includes crisis management and emergency interventions including but not limited to CPR and CPI interventions as required by medical necessity and directed by the treatment team.
The job also requires participating in staff debriefings which provide the opportunity for employees to process coping with stressful events identify opportunities for improvement emotionally support each other.
