    CFO/ General Manager (construction)

    Texas City, TX

    Salary:
    negotiable, depending on experience + benefits

    Opportunity:

    Working for this successful roofing, insulation, and waterproofing contractor, you will basically be the CEO's right-hand person. They are seeking to appoint this new position due to year-on-year growth, and ongoing expansion plans.

    Your role will be twofold:
    Financial responsibility for the group of companies, currently covering 7 locations (and growing)


    • Day-to-day financial operations, planning and strategic recommendations.
    • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Keep up to date with all state and federal legislations.
    Managerial


    • Responsibility for investments, insurance, budgeting, HR and financial reporting
    • Provide leadership and guidance to accounting, clerical and HR teams.
    • Evaluate the current company structure, making recommendations for improvements.

    You:


    • You have a strong financial background, combined with strategic thinking and leadership skills.
    • People management skills.
    • You don't need to have previous experience in the roofing sector. However, you will need a construction background - you will need to know how projects work; what the processes and procedures are; what needs done on a regular basis.
    • Experience using QuickBooks and preferably Alliance Payroll.
    • Excellent communication skills. There is a lot of change coming in the company and you will need to explain things in an understandable manner.
    Above all, you will need empathy.
