- Respond quickly and courteously to customer inquiries via phone or email (stock check, back-order ETA, order status, shipping times or issues, etc.)
- Process customer orders manually or via EDI (fixtures, bulbs, replacement product/parts)
- Relative to Order Entry, review order that part numbers and price entered in systems match customer purchase order and address any discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
- Process credits if product is defective or requires returning in accordance with policy (restocking fee, freight charge, re-sellable condition, etc.)
- Send order confirmations to customer.
- Follow new customer account setup procedures.
- Capture and update customer information including addresses, phones and email addresses for future communication/follow up.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of customer service
- Comfort working with autonomy and on a team.
- Active listener and creative problem solver
- Effective time manager with attention to detail
- Critical thinker with decision-making ability
- Adept negotiator comfortable with cross-selling and up-selling
- Strong written and verbal communicator
- Professional phone manner
- Experience with CRM tools, SAP applications and Microsoft 365
- Spanish speaker a huge plus
