    Spencer-Ogden is partnered with a leading developer, owner, and operator of commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar and wind energy. With over 14GW of projects in their pipeline, they are on a mission to accelerate the adoption of clean, sustainable energy solutions.

    The team is looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of a Civil Engineer III. As a Civil Engineer III, you'll be responsible for spearheading the management of analysis, development, and permitting for ground-mounted utility-scale solar farms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team of designers and engineers to conduct thorough site constraint analysis, covering zoning, topography, environmental factors, and soils.
    • Coordinate and oversee civil, environmental, and survey services provided by consultants, including defining scopes of services, managing contracts, and reviewing invoices.
    • Ensure project schedules and budgets are effectively managed.
    • Ensure project compliance with relevant Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
    • Serve as the Engineer-of-Record for soil erosion and sediment control, as well as stormwater plans, details, and calculations for AHJ permit submissions.
    • Direct Civil Designers and Engineers in the preparation and revision of site/civil plans and calculations.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
    • Registered Professional Engineer.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
    • Experience with PV project design (preferred).
    • Comfortable with presenting to and interacting with consultants, AHJs, and regulatory agencies.
