- Play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and launching control systems for various projects, with a focus on the food, beverage, and life science sectors.
- Create control system designs based on project specifications, ensuring they meet industry standards and client needs.
- Program and set up PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation to execute control logic, ensuring smooth integration and optimal system performance.
- Procure necessary materials and components, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery for project schedules.
- Lead or support equipment startup and commissioning, resolve issues, and verify that systems function as intended. Maintain detailed project records, including design specs, programming code, electrical drawings, and startup reports.
- Work with cross-functional teams like Sales, Project Management, and Field Service to reach project goals. Engage clients to understand project needs, offer technical backing, and address queries during project execution.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, incorporate best practices, and contribute to enhancement programs within the Automation department and company. Proficiency in fluid process controls, especially in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical domains, is highly advantageous. Strong background in PLC and HMI programming, instrumentation, and electrical systems (Allen-Bradley required, Ignition and Siemens a plus). Knowledge of process designs involving CIP, HTST, heat exchangers, pumps, and valves. A Bachelor's degree is necessary (preferably in an Engineering field). Must be open to traveling around 35% of the time. Experience in equipment startup and commissioning is a plus. Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects concurrently.
