Job summary
We are seeking a hands-on Research & Development Specialist who will serve as the primary driver of product innovation within our bakery operations (clean label). This is a sole-contributor role where you will collaborate directly with the sales team and company leadership to develop new products and solutions tailored to client needs. You will work side-by-side with customers to bring creative concepts to life leveraging your technical expertise and passion for baking to deliver unique high-quality innovations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both the kitchen and the boardroom able to transform client feedback into innovative products that set us apart in the baking industry.Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Sales/Marketing and Innovation Engineering to develop new products from concept phase through successful commercialization.
- Conduct plant trials and new product start-ups including full-scale production on any product innovation and renovation project Provide support to the plant when challenges arise.
- Maintain recipes SOPs for batching ingredients in the companys systems including generating Nutrition Facts Panels ingredient statements Working with procurement identifying sourcing ingredients from vendors that follow established marketing guidance quality assurance standards use within tho product portfolio Liaison corporate resources verification suppliers raw materials feasibility development Coordinate conduct internal external shelf-life studies Initiate assist managing all formulation change management control issuing approved recipes communicating changes approving BOMs Management schedules meet project timelines Communicate effectively partners throughout process ensure timely budget-friendly development Work finance developing strawman costs adhere guidelines early cycle Participate co-manufacture third-party development required Lead efforts consolidate like raw materials maintaining integrity optimizing formulations Responsible helping review formulas cost savings opportunities safety performance finding substitute ingredients Find evaluate developing technologies keep portfolio current emerging trends Key member NPD implementation team May require travel larger customers Experience reverse engineering match existing formulations Perform other job-related duties assigned Thanks Regards Sarvind Kumar
