    The

    Director of Human Resources


    is responsible for developing and executing Greater Seacoast Community Health (GSCH)'s human resource strategy in support of the overall mission and strategic direction of the agency, specifically in the areas of organizational equity, joy in work, employee well-being, continuous workforce improvement and planning, talent acquisition, change management, performance management, succession planning, training and development, total rewards, policy development, and compliance.

    The Director of Human Resources serves on the Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic leadership by formulating and articulating Human Resources needs and plans to staff.

    Job Duties

    Maintains Business Acumen, Ethical Practice, Relationship Management, Leadership & Navigation, HR Expertise, Cultural Awareness, Critical Evaluation, Consultation and Communication skills.

    Stays up to date with current HR trends and best practices.
    Works with Senior Leadership to establish a positive organizational culture.
    Participates in long-term strategic planning and resources initiatives as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

    Maintains training needs in coordination with Department Managers and Senior Leaders in conjunction with Finance to maintain a workforce that is skilled and trained with the latest tools and techniques.

    Maintains consistent efforts to retain employees.
    Develops and improves recruiting practices and succession planning strategies.
    Represents Human Resource concerns to the CEO and Board of Directors as needed.
    Facilitates Personnel Committee with Board member, managing the implementation of tasks.
    Collaborates and communicates with Senior Leadership Team to optimize morale and collaboration across the organization.

    Provides education to supervisors, managers, and other staff members regarding personnel concerns, keeping staff up to date on best practices and labor laws.

    Creates a safe and neutral zone for employees with complaints and concerns, and successfully brokers disputes between supervisors and staff members.

    Supervises and manages HR staff and ensures that they uphold the GSCH values, and reflect confidentiality and excellence in performance.

    Ensures integrity and continued maintenance of all Personnel records, files, and databases.
    Provides CEO with quarterly FTE reports, retention, and exit interview information.
    Ensures that employee benefits are reviewed on an annual basis in conjunction with the personal committee, CFO, and CEO.
    Creates and maintains organization wage pay scale matrix in coordination with the CFO.
    Obtains SHRM Certification.
    Willingly accepts constructive criticism, is sought out by others for advice and counsel, continuous learning.
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree in a related field with five years' experience in human resource management required.
    Human Resource Certification (SHRM, PHR or other) required.
    Experience leading, and commitment, to organizational diversity and inclusion efforts required. Experience reflecting increasingly responsible management positions within human resources, including mentoring and developing a high-performing HR team.

GSCH offers a 401(k) plan with an employer match, employer-paid group term life insurance, and short-term disability coverage. Voluntary benefits include vision, long-term disability coverage, Flexible Spending Account, and access to local discounts. GSCH offers earned time accrual (15 days in your first year [pro-rated by FTE]), plus seven (7) paid holidays. Eligibility starts at 24 hours/week, with full benefits offered at 32 hours/week and above.
