- Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software.
- Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop technical documents, including design specification, user manuals, and operational procedures.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems.
- Participate in project management and project coordination.
- Monitor and analyze system performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Utilize best practices, standards and procedures related to automation systems.
- Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies.As a shift automation engineer the following are expected to form the overall job description:
- Work on Incident management, Service request management, Problem management and Change management areas.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation and computer skills. Works in a team based environment and exchanges technical information with management, technical support personnel, and equipment vendors.
- Execute IQ, OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements
- Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance.
- Manage and update system documentation including SOPs.
- Create and manage application-specific knowledge management.
- Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs
- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field.
