    Our dedicated team includes HVAC/R service technicians who play an essential role in ensuring the ongoing performance and maintenance of critical systems.

    Located out of our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility, the HVAC/R Service Client Manager Mentorship Program is an intensive mentor-protégé management initiative aimed at fostering career development, interpersonal growth, and the development of professional character.

    This program is designed to align your career aspirations with the vision and culture of AMS Industries, Inc.

    It provides a structured path for motivated individuals to achieve the position of Client Manager, while also nurturing long-term relationships with the aim of becoming mentors to future team members.

    As an Associate Client Manager in the HVAC/R Service Client Manager Mentorship Program, you will embark on a comprehensive career development journey.

    Your responsibilities in each year of the program are as follows:



    Year 1:

    Onboarding and Orientation

    Complete standard onboarding paperwork and safety training.
    Learn about AMS policies and procedures.
    Introduction to key staff and equipment.
    Basic safety training, including PPE usage.
    Begin to understand HVAC systems and equipment.


    Year 1:

    Safety Training

    Complete OSHA 30 online training within the first six months.
    Additional safety training as required by the safety department.

    Year 1:

    Software and Administrative Training
    Learn to use Spectrum financial and project management software.
    Introduction to Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
    Familiarize yourself with administrative processes, including proposal templates, estimating spreadsheets, and contract management.
    Assist the designated Client Manager in various tasks.
    Review technician service tickets and address client follow-ups.
    Conduct site visits for equipment information.
    Attend client meetings and networking events.
    Gain a basic understanding of preventive maintenance agreements.

    Year 2:
    Safety Training, Software, and Administrative Training
    Ongoing safety training as needed.
    Software and administrative training as determined by the VP of Operations and your designated Client Manager.
    Continue to support the designated Client Manager.
    Potentially manage smaller, less complex accounts.
    Further your understanding of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance agreements.
    Attend industry networking events.

    Year 3:
    Safety Training and Associate Client Manager Responsibilities
    Safety training as necessary.
    Continue to support the designated Client Manager.
    Begin directly managing client accounts and projects.
    Attend client meetings and Prebid job site visits.
    Cross-pollinate AMS/CSG service offerings with your account base.

    Year 4:
    Safety Training and Associate Client Manager Responsibilities
    Continue safety training.
    Directly manage accounts and projects.
    Participate in new building start-ups, chiller overhauls, property condition assessments, and mechanical retrofit projects.
    Deepen your technical knowledge and client relationships.
    Develop peer partnership with the designated Client Manager.
    Assume primary responsibility for your accounts.
    Pursue new business opportunities.
    Transition accounts from construction to service.
    Explore other AMS/CSG service offerings.
    Prepare for promotion to Client Manager.

    Performance Reviews:
    Regular performance reviews every 3-6 months.
    Feedback from office and field personnel.
    Spot checks with clients.
    Ongoing assessment and development of technical and interpersonal skills.

    Conclusion of Year 5:
    Promotion to Client Manager
    Assuming successful completion of the program, promotion to Client Manager.
    Continual feedback and mentorship.
    Direct reporting to the Director of Client Services.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred. The program may consider candidates with varying level of education.
    Mechanical aptitude with a strong interest in the basic understanding of HVAC/R systems and equipment is highly beneficial.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
