- Create and execute tailored education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, collaborating with parents, fellow educators, and support staff.
- Deliver direct teaching in various subjects, social abilities, and life skills, utilizing proven methodologies and supportive technologies.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning requirements of students, guaranteeing their access to the standard educational syllabus.
- Track student advancement through continuous evaluation and data gathering, refining teaching techniques as needed to foster student progress.
- Work alongside general education teachers to establish inclusive learning settings and back the successful integration of students with special needs.
- Maintain precise and updated records of student development, IEPs, and any necessary paperwork.
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Possession of California state certification in Special Education.
- Successful completion of a teacher readiness program endorsed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
- Valid clear credential or intern credential in Special Education granted by the CCTC.
- Familiarity with special education statutes and rules, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California Education Code.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an academic environment is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organizational proficiencies.
