    Overview

    This role will play an active and influential role in driving supply chain analytics forward within Diageo. This person is expected to lead/coordinate cross-functional use case development and solution implementation across various functions of the supply chain. In addition, the individual will lead the external project team supporting the analytics agenda. The role will be a strategic partner supporting Supply in driving sustainable business improvement in the areas of inventory, cost & service.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive Connectivity & Understanding with all Diageo functions (Supply, NAM, Global, D&T, Commercial, etc.) around data/analytics/tools/interdependencies and business/IT constraints
    • Establish a cross-functional Supply Digital Footprint and Strategy around digital automation (e.g., Qlik, BOTs, Large Language Models, Machine Learning, etc.)
    • Analyze current business processes and highlight innovative productivity improvement opportunities demonstrating the use of analytical tools/automation
    • Design scalable and complex analysis and dashboards to optimize supply chain processes
    • Present opportunities and benefits to senior stakeholders to align resource allocation / prioritization
    • Identify and use new internal and external data sources to drive insights and decision making and create data pipelines for more efficient and repeatable data science projects
    • Embed Visual Analytics Solutions (e.g., Qlik, PowerBI, etc.) for the wider Supply organization

    Experience

    • 5+ plus years of experience in data insights/analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, PoweBI)
    • Extensive knowledge of supply chain domains and related information systems (e.g., distribution/transportation, sourcing, planning, manufacturing, inventory management, etc.)
    • Experience with large dataset mining and open-source programming tools (e.g., R, Python, HiveQL, Spark)
    • Ability to extract and manipulate varying types of data housed in many disparate internal and external data sources with a high degree of accuracy, unlocking insights and business solutions
    • Apply innovative scientific approaches to draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations that answer business objectives
    • Experience with agile development and data analysis techniques
    • Execution of end-to-end significant data science projects and management of diverse teams

    Skills Required

    • Demonstrated ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams and communicate with people at all levels, from entry level positions to senior management
    • Ability to influence peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data and analytics governance policies
    • Solid project management skills to guide point-in-time and ongoing targeted data quality, retention, security, and privacy improvement projects
    • Display drive and curiosity to understand the business process to its core
    • Confident, energetic self-starters, with strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving the different points of view and requirements that invariably collide during cross-team and cross-organization efforts
    • Superior presentation skills, including storytelling and other techniques to guide and inspire
    • Strong business sense and proponent of business success

    Education Required

    • A 4-year Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
