- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic conditions, such as respiratory infections, diabetes, hypertension, and musculoskeletal disorders
- Provide family planning services, including contraceptive counseling and prescribing birth control methods
- Administer injections and immunizations
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and dermatological procedures like dermabrasion
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and selfcare techniques
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Provide psychiatric care, including psychopharmacology for mental health conditions
- Conduct research studies related to family medicine or specific medical conditions
- Provide specialized care for patients with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
- Utilize electronic health record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) to document patient encounters accurately
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
- Experience in providing comprehensive primary care across all age groups
- Proficiency in performing basic life support procedures
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology for mental health conditions
- Familiarity with research methodologies and ability to conduct research studies
- Experience in dermatological procedures like dermabrasion is a plus
- Ability to perform procedures such as spinal taps and sutures is preferred
