- Organize and supervise shifts
- Assist both front and back of house employees to ensure superior guest services and experience
- Respond efficiently and professionally to all guest complaints and resolve any issues.
- Assist front of house staff by helping seat guests, run food and drinks, buss/clean tables.
- Create and nurture a positive working environment for all El Rincon employees
- Ensure front and back of house employees adhere to all food/beverage and workplace safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure that alcohol is always served responsibly according to TABC laws and regulations
- Perform manager closing duties by properly entering sales numbers, cash sales, tip share and credit card tips into proper documentation
- Collect server/bartender checkouts
- Count any on hand cash and ensure correct cash amounts are given to servers/bartenders.
- Ensure all front of house opening/closing duties are performed correctly and restaurant is setup for the day or is properly cleaned for the next day
- Execute the daily operations of the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively about any issues or food/beverage/supply needs for the restaurant with other managers and/or owners
- Effectively teach, motivate and discipline all staff. Must garner the respect of all employees.
- Have a passion for people and genuine desire to connect with our guests to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Previous front of house restaurant or food service management experience.
- Strong understanding of the responsibilities for all positions, both front and back of house
- Passion about helping the team and help grow them personally and professionally
- Be able to adapt to various situations that can arise in the restaurant
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a professional appearance and behavior
- Strong attention to detail
