    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.
    • Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components.
    • Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure.
    • Implement WLAN designs.
    • Work with expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support.
    • Maintain and administer Cat WLAN including hardware, software, applications software, and configurations.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation with team members, approximately 1 week every 8 weeks.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
    • 8+ years' experience.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience with WLAN implementation and support.
    • Knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
    • Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches.
    • Experience with automation technologies and scripting.
    • Relevant work experience with medium to large companies.
    • Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN.

    SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Attention to detail.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects.
