- Conduct thorough patient assessments tailored to individual needs, considering various factors such as development, culture, and medical requirements.
- Create personalized care plans based on collaborative problems, nursing diagnoses, and best practices to address identified needs.
- Implement and assess nursing interventions in alignment with patient care plans and conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in departmental activities, including potential involvement in transplant programs.
- Ensure regular attendance at work and meet physical job requirements as specified.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with a preference for pediatric patient experience and familiarity with EPIC.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure, with strong prioritization skills.
- Must hold a current valid Nebraska RN license/RN Compact license, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Additional certifications such as CPN or CCRN are preferred.
- Notification period required for termination of the RN Weekend Position.

A Summary of Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to pediatric patients and their families using evidence-based practices and hospital protocols.
- Develop skills to provide comprehensive care for cardiac patients of all ages and acuities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to cardiac patients and their families.
- Full-time RNs will work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while part-time RNs will work on Saturdays and Sundays, with shifts from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am.

About the Team
Join the Cardiac Care Unit, a newly established 32-bed facility providing specialized care to patients with various cardiac conditions. Offering a family-centered approach, our unit caters to patients from newborns to young adults with congenital and acquired heart diseases, ensuring comprehensive care from admission to discharge. With a dedicated team of critical care physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff, the CCU provides holistic care to patients requiring heart-related interventions and support, including ECMO therapy.
