Job summary

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides services conducts comprehensive assessments and directs treatment to individuals and groups supervises treatment delivered by the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and supervises and directs support personnel.

Essential Functions
Presents comprehensive evaluationEstablishes a plan of treatmentPerforms discharge planning and re-evaluationInstructs prepares the patient for treatmentUtilizes appropriate modalities/interventionsInforms the patient of the treatment processMonitors patients during treatmentsProvides information to supervisor director physiciansEstablishes/maintains a therapeutic relationship with patientsCompletes discharge planning in timely mannerDesigns home programs when indicatedProvides instruction to patients patient family membersMakes all appropriate referralsProvides written treatment programs for days off SaturdaysFollows policy procedure for charting/documentationProvides update on patient status at all team meetingsSupervises directs technicians in their departmental dutiesAdheres follows all patient experience initiativesReports time as scheduledPerforms other duties assignedMust able deal stress while maintaining composure
