    JOB DESCRIPTION




    TITLE:
    ACCOUNTANT II - FISCAL


    DEFINITION:Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, the Accountant II will be responsible for the maintenance of the Corporation's general ledger, accounting work papers, and assist with the year-end audit and the semi-annual budgeting process.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:


    • Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting.
    • 3years of Accounting experience.
    • Proficient knowledge of automated accounting systems
    • Strong excel skills
    • Experience with Report / Query writing and debugging interfaces a big plus
    • PeopleSoft experience a plus.

    DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

    a)Prepare month end close entries and analysis.
    Assist with coordination and management of month end close.

    b)Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.

    c)Assist in the review process of journal entries prepared by staff.

    d)Produce monthly financial reporting for Senior Management utilizing PeopleSoft NVision report generator and layouts.

    e)Assist with the budget preparation process which includes salary detail schedules for 600employees, issuance of budget worksheets to management containing prior year results, perform allocations of shared costs across departments.

    f)

    Other duties may include but are not limited to:
    budget vs actual analysis; financial reporting to Pennsylvania Department of Aging and other funding sources; preparation of grant proposal schedules

    g)Assist with the preparation of year end financial statements and schedules for PCA's audited financial statements.

    h)Performs related duties as assigned.
