    Job Summary

    Coordinates all areas relating to the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals to local, state, and federal entities as well as private foundations and corporation organizations.

    Essential Functions

    • Researches and identifies new funding sources through grant affiliations, online resources and community collaboration and networking.
    • Works closely with staff in developing grant proposals for existing programs within the hospital.
    • Maintains funding opportunity database, activity tracking system, and related confidential files.
    • Functions as lead in the grants writing process, budget development and specific grant writing details.
    • Establishes, maintains, and nurtures working relationship with grant funders for ongoing grant support.
    • Ensures program leadership understands grant requirements and responsibilities.
    Physical Requirements
    Work environment includes office and community settings with auto travel necessary. Must have the ability to function outside of the office setting. Physical functions require standing, walking, sitting, lifting, and reaching.

    Education, Experience and Certifications

    Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3 years grant writing experience preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills required. Experience with online research preferred.
