    TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Java Developer. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire.     NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

    SUMMARY

    The Remote Java Developer provides support with research, design, implementations and managing software programs as well as testing and evaluating new programs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
    • Writing and implementing efficient code.
    • Develop quality assurance procedures and deploy software tools, processes and metrics.
    • Works closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts.
    • Acts as team leader on projects.
    • Participates in development of software user manuals.
    • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
    • Consults with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
    • A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
    • Required technologies/experience include:
    • Java.
    • Spring Framework as a comprehensive programming and configuration model.
    • SQL.
    • HTML/JavaScript/CSS.
    • Basic Linux usage (navigating, reading files, sudo commands).
    • Experience/understanding with PuTTY/WinSCP, WebSphere, Subversion, Cloud Platform Development and event streaming platforms used to collect, process, store, and integrate data at scale (such as Kafka).
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust Security clearance.
