We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineering Supervisor to be based in our Tampa, Florida, office.
The Process Engineering Supervisor acts as administrative and technical authority to project teams engaged in the process engineering function responsible for the design, control, and efficient operation of more than one project.
The incumbent has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating process engineering and demanding frequent collaboration and interface with various engineering disciplines.
Duties:
Plans, organizes, and directs project assignments.
Reviews project budgets, staffing requirements, and overall project progress, recommending personnel actions based on performance reviews.
Develop process flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation drawings.
Develop heat and material balances.
Develop process simulations.
Perform equipment sizing calculations and develop equipment specifications.
Develop equipment lists, line tables and instrument data.
Perform relief valve calculations.
Perform hydraulic analysis of pump systems and gas distribution systems.
Advises and consults with engineering professionals regarding process and design problems or changes.
Oversees preparation of proposals, cost estimates, selection of equipment, and vendor price information.
Represents company in external engineering associations and technical forums.
Qualifications:
BS in Chemical Engineering
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred
20+ years in process design
Previous management experience preferred
PE registration required
NCEES registration recommended
Renewable Fuels, Chemical, Refinery and/or Phosphate experience required
Must be knowledgeable in the use of ChemCAD or Hysys, Fathom, Arrow, and MS Office.
Must be knowledgeable in codes and standards affecting process work including API, ASME, CGA, OSHA and ISA
Additional Information:
This position requires the person to live in the Tampa Bay area and work out of the office on specific days.
