    IVA'AL is seeking an organized, collaborative, and experienced professional to serve as its Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will collaborate with senior leadership on the development of strategies to enhance the value, cost-effectiveness, and efficiencies of all aspects of the organization's services, policies, and contracting objectives and initiatives. They will train and mentor an engaged Program Management team and be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety of the operation. This position will be remote until the office has been relocated to the Washington DC Metro Area (northern Virginia).

    Essential Functions:

    • Demonstrate knowledge of the United States SBA regulations and policies as it relates to the 8(a) program.
    • Work with the CEO and the senior leadership team to develop and support corporate strategy for continued growth.
    • Translate the company's Mission, Values, and Vision into actionable, measurable goals, and KPI's.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to improve and institutionalize training processes and procedures to further develop, measure, and refine internal operational processes and internal controls, and promote their implementation.
    • Encourage operational excellence and effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, coaching, counseling, and developing managers, communicating values, strategies, and objectives.
    • Assign accountabilities, planning, and monitor job results, and develop incentives.
    • Responsible for direct oversight of Program Management Operations
    • Responsible for company contract performance oversight that meets or exceeds client quality, time, cost, compliance, and other binding or expected requirements.
    • Lead a high-performance Program Management team, focused on running day-to-day operations for client mission success.
    • Exhibit mentoring leadership to establish connections between performance, success, and rewards.
    • Respond to critical operational needs and customer feedback as needed.
    • Represent the company with current and potential customers, partners, and business affiliates as requested.
    • Position the company to achieve financial goals through active client and business development/proposal activities.
    • Support and strengthen new and existing customer relationships through strong, consistent customer service.
    • Project a positive image of the organization to team members, guests, industry, and community.

    Required Education and Experience/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree
    • Minimum 10 years' experience in Program Management and Organizational leadership with progressive management responsibilities
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
    • Working knowledge of Government Policy and Contracts
    • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metric
    • Ethical business practices
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Handle multiple concurrent tasks and competing priorities

    Technical Skills:

    Proficiency using all Microsoft Office 365 applications including: Teams Conferencing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and printer/scanner.

    Work Environment:

    Office environment will include sitting at a desk and operating office equipment including a laptop/computer, printer, and scanner, answering, and speaking by telephone. The employee may occasionally be asked to travel by car or plane to other work locations as needed. The noise level will be quiet to moderate.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday typically between 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work. Travel is primarily local during the business day, and some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
