    SIGN ON AND RELOCATION ELIGIBLE FOR NEW HIRES Unit/Position Summary Boise's Cardiac Cath Lab has two Cath Labs and two Electrophysiology Labs and perform on average 50 procedures per week.

    The Cath Lab has great growth opportunities one of which is cross training within our Electrophysiology lab.

    The invasive Technologist/RN is responsible for assisting physicians in the care and management of patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac or vascular procedures.

    You will prepare patients for cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and other cardiac/ electrophysiology procedures. You may also scrub, circulate, and monitor patients during procedures.

    Dayshift; M-F No call or weekends required Responsibilities + Prepares patients for cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and other cardiac/electrophysiology procedures.

    + Identifies patient and physician needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. + Operates angiographic equipment and special procedures auxiliary equipment. + Administers medications in accordance with protocol. + Scrubs, circulates and monitors patients during procedure. + Suggests recommendations for performance improvement. + May function as Charge Technologist for scheduling, coordinating and training staff. + May complete or assist in the completion of the employee evaluation process. + Provides leadership to ensure compliance with regulations, infection control practices and policies/procedures. + Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices. Serves as an expert and resource to staff. + Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


    Qualifications + Education:

    Associate's Degree, or 2 year's additional relevant experience in lieu of Associate's Degree + Experience: 4 year's performing interventional vascular procedures experience + Licenses/Certifications: Must have current certification in one or more of the following areas: + Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) + Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) + Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT) + American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) + Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) Why St.
