- Lead a team of 8-12 technical staff in management role
- Execute in a direct contributor or technical leadership role supporting MDA programs in one of the following areas: Materials science; modeling, design or test of superconducting electronics; quantum mechanics; low temperature physics; computer architectures; processing/memory subsystems; large-scale high performance computing systems; analog, RF, or digital design.
- Work in cooperation with program management to ensure successful execution against cost and schedule targets
- Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 9+ years of experience; Master of Science degree plus 7+ years of experience within a related engineering field; PhD plus 4+ years of experience within related engineering field.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Engineering & Sciences (E&S) is seeking candidates for the position of an MDA Hardware & Sciences Engineering Manager 2 to support the NGMC MDA in Annapolis Junction or Linthicum, MD
What You'll Get To Do : This is a dual-role technical manager position
Management duties will require tasking and coordination of approximately 8-12 staff, with process support and resource co - ordination with functional homeroom management
The manager will also be expected to perform technical work on programs
It is anticipated that the split between program and functional duties will be approximately 80 program /20 functional, on average
The direct program work may include technical work, IPT leadership, or any other appropriate technical function
Key roles and responsibilities include:

Salary Range:
$145,000 - $217,400 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives
