The Admissions Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the admissions department ensuring efficient patient intake and registration processes.This role supervises admissions staff provides training and support ensures compliance with regulations and hospital policies.
Essential Functions Supervises and manages admissions staff ensures adherence to department policies procedures and performance standards Provides training coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge Oversees the patient intake and registration process ensuring accurate timely collection of required information Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements hospital policies best practices for patient data handling Facilitates effective communication between the admissions department clinical teams ensure a smooth patient flow Addresses patient concerns complaints in a professional manner working toward resolution in a timely fashion Monitors enforces quality assurance programs identifying implementing process improvements as needed Oversees insurance verification financial clearance processes referring uninsured underinsured patients to financial counselors Works leadership develop maintain staffing schedules ensure adequate department coverage Collects co payments documents financial transactions related to patient admissions Performs other duties assigned Maintains regular reliable attendance Complies all policies standards.
