- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Washington
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Occupational Therapy
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing occupational therapy services in schools
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with the educational team to implement and monitor progress
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve functional abilities and participation in the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the student's educational program
- Attend and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal development and determine appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with stakeholders regarding treatment outcomes
- Provide consultation, training, and support to teachers and staff on strategies to promote students' independence and participation in school activities
- Stay informed about current best practices, research, and trends in pediatric occupational therapy through professional development opportunities
