    • Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.
    Details


    • 12-hour night shifts or , 36 hours per week
    • Level IV NICU (2nd highest level in the state) within a 152-bed children's hospital attached to an adult hospital with high-risk labor and delivery
    • 70-bed NICU with a typical census of around 50 patients; private rooms available
    • Patient population includes premature infants as young as 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS; preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy)
    • NICU is adjacent to a Level II Nursery, with overflow care for feeders/growers
    *EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

    • Every other weekend rotation required; occasional back-to-back weekends possible but rare
    • Occasional floating to the ER as a sitter, though rare
    • No on-call responsibilities
    • Block scheduling is possibleRequirements
    • Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand or pending (proof of application required)
    • Current certifications: BLS and NRP
    • Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience required
    • Proficiency with respiratory support including vents, trachs, NCPAP, and g-tubes
    • Experience with NG/OG tubes, UAC/UVC management, and PICC lines
    • Skills in medication administration, care plan development, and discharge-to-home planning
    • At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to startAdditional Information
    • Provide specialized neonatal nursing care including respiratory support, vascular access management, and family-centered discharge planning
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude are important for this role
    • First-time travelers will be considered, though travel experience is strongly preferred
