    Christiana Care Health System is in search of a Registered Nurse to join the team, working 36 hours per week during the Night Shift (7p-7a) at Christiana Hospital on the designated Unit. Weekend and Holiday shifts are required based on department guidelines.

    The Beacon Award for Excellence acknowledges outstanding caregivers in units that establish the benchmark for excellence in patient care environments. It highlights the use of evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and ensure both patient and staff satisfaction.

    As part of our team, your role will involve providing comprehensive patient care with a focus on the patient and their family. This includes offering education on medications and disease processes, as well as closely monitoring patients and managing any potential emergencies.

    You will be responsible for overseeing a patient assignment of 4-5 individuals. The staff and leadership at 3C Medical Stepdown are dedicated to teamwork in delivering safe, high-quality care to all patients.

    Patients under your care will present with a variety of diagnoses such as Respiratory Failure, COPD, Acute Renal Failure, GI Bleed, DKA, Sepsis, and more. Nurses on 3C are highly adept at managing acutely ill and complex patients, proficient in telemetry monitoring, non-ventilator dependent trach collar and High Flow Nasal Cannula management, wound care, and other specialized areas.

    We offer both part-time and full-time positions, with a flexible staffing approach tailored to meet the individual needs of our team members.

    Key Requirements:

    • BSN qualification mandatory
    • Candidates with ADNs must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire date, relevant experience will be considered
    • Minimum one year of experience required, with preference for acute care or subacute care experience
    • BLS certification essential

    The selected candidate may qualify for a sign-on bonus payable over a 12-month period.
