    Corewell Health is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon with certification in Surgical Critical Care to join our established team at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital.

    This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a cohesive and well-supported group of trauma surgeons all of whom are board certified surgical intensivists.


    Responsibilities will include managing the surgical intensive care unit (SICU), performing general surgical procedures, and contributing to surgical call coverage.

    The physician will also provide consultative services and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

    Qualifications:
    Board Certified in General Surgery
    Certification in Surgical Critical Care required
    Fellowship training or significant experience in Trauma Surgery
    Robotic surgery experience is a plus
    Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license and DEA
    Current BLS and up to date ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
    Up to date ATLS certification

    With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to three medical residency programs in partnership with the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

    It is a verified Level II trauma center and an accredited primary stroke center by Joint Commission.

    The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart and vascular and cancer care as well as other specialty services to assist our community.

    is a city in Wayne County, Michigan.

    It is an inner-ring suburb in Metro Detroit, bordering Detroit to the south and west, and roughly 7 miles west of downtown Detroit.

    In the 2020 census, it had a population of 109,976, ranking as the seventh-most populous city in Michigan. Dearborn is known for being the home of the Ford Motor Company's world headquarters.
