    Job Description

    Position Purpose:

    The Director Retail Value Framework, Retail Supply Chain is responsible for directing and managing the implementation of the business model, retailer value proposition and value-added services rollout across all retailers, including customer retention, value creation, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Execute the retail business model strategy based on customer centricity and asset productivity principles.

    Major/Key Accountabilities:
    • Develop business model glidepath to ensure effective and strategic implementation across the retailer archetypes, while adapting to supply chain shocks/industry trends.
    • Facilitate manufacturer and retailer value proposition while ensuring that all decisions related to the business model are aligned with value-based pricing and customer experience strategy.
    • Collaborate cross functionally to provide customer solutions that will benefit our long-term standing in the market.
    • Facilitate a deeper understanding of our retailers supply chain to mitigate data integrity issues and IPEP risk related to unauthorized exchange or operational controls.
    • Build strategic relationships with Retail customers by developing in depth expertise about customer supply chain, understanding future trends and by forging relationships with key decision makers in head office.
    • Effectively communicate CHEP's value proposition, provide innovation and align CHEP's capabilities to customer needs and industry trends to enable growth
    • Develop win-win solutions for customers and CHEP; demonstrate solid understanding of financials
    • Responsible for leading team of 8 field-based Account Managers as they work to gain detailed understanding of the industry, customer supply chains and competitive landscape and to deliver sustainable growth through product and service offerings.
    • Coordinate multifunctional teams (Supply Chain, Sales Finance, Asset Management, Strategy & Marketing) to successfully execute business model entry plan and develop and commercialize value creation opportunities
    • Drive budgeted growth objectives, and foster advocacy from retail customers to support growth activity, launch retail business model and solutions portfolio at all retail business partners
    • Establish collaborative and sustainable senior level customer relationships, ensuring successful interface between customer and CHEP
    • Enable the launch of business model, new product and service offerings with major retailers
    • Develop direct employees through individualized development processes and career planning
    • Complete and reinforce all Zero Harm policies

    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree minimum: MBA preferred; strong understanding of financials.
    • Minimum 7 years direct team people management
    • Proven record of selling in highly complex strategic environments
    • Extended work in cross functional matrix oriented internal structures
    • Experience working in grocery/wholesale retail environments /CPG companies selling into retail is a PLUS.
