- Provide patient-centered care to women in labor, including monitoring fetal heart rate, assessing labor progress, and implementing pain management techniques.
- Schedule: 102, twelve-hour shifts/year
- Vaginally deliver newborns in a safe and compassionate manner, adhering to all established protocols.
- Act as first assist on cesarean sections. Perform telephone triage of obstetric and gynecologic patients.
- Participate in student and resident education.
- Educate and counsel mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Identify and manage potential complications during labor and delivery, collaborating with physicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Participate in ongoing education and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in midwifery practice.
- Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Corporation (AMCC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery within a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
