    NJR Clean Energy Ventures, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a an Assistant Project Manager II (Solar/Renewables) to assist the Project Manager with the review and execution of construction RFPs (request for proposal) and EPCs (engineering, procurement and construction) for the various distributed power projects. Provide oversight of the construction and implementation of commercial solar, wind, CHP (combined heat and power) and Midstream projects in addition to the development opportunities in execution of the Clean Energy Ventures project plan.

    Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    Oversee the construction of commercial solar projects while working closely with our external owners representative to ensure that projects are completed as designed, budgeted and scheduled

    Conduct inspections, including interpretation and implementation of contract specifications; record any deficiencies and punch list items; and follow up with contractor to effect remediation

    Perform maintenance inspections of commercial solar assets and schedule repairs as needed with the contractors

    Oversee electrical and construction plans

    Effectively represent the company and maintain relationships with EPC contractors, owners representatives and property owners through, inspections, system overviews and technical support meetings

    Oversee the commissioning and testing program for new commercial solar projects

    Manage permitting process

    Participate in the asset management process to determine deficiencies in project performance

    Provide support to Quality Inspector I and Quality Inspector II personnel

    Assist with the preparation of various reports and presentations for senior NJR management

    Maintain effective internal and external contacts

    Mentor and train fellow employees of lesser experience

    Position Requirements:

    Bachelors degree in Engineering

    At least three years experience working with various construction teams with an emphasis in renewable energy construction and renewable energy asset management

    A working knowledge of larger commercial solar projects and a proficiency of smaller residential solar applications

    MS Office Proficiency

    Strong communication skills

    Travel required 50%-75%
