- The primary function of this position is to use Digital Design Technology to create accurate models of patients' teeth in order to fabricate custom prosthetics such as crowns bridges dentures etc.. This requires experience with both manual drawing programs like AutoCAD as well as advanced simulation modeling tools that allow users preview materials finishes & production methods before they go out onto floor!
Read Prescriptions / Specs:This person reads what's known "prescription" it tells them exactly how patient wants their teeth look plus size shape material needed so after reading prescription technician proceeds with taking precise measurements then enters those numbers accurately into Computer Aided Machining equipment aka C.A.M machine.
