    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Summary

    Responsible for cost accounting at the site. Assist with the daily and monthly financial reporting as well as monthly and annual forecasts. Reconcile designated accounts and perform general financial analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst should be able to work independently with key deliverables that are clearly established. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to develop new skills and progress within the organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Sr Costing Analyst will assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliation
    • Update standard costs annually and maintain costs for changes and new parts throughout the fiscal year
    • Support the month end closing process by reconciliation of inventory and sales along with preparation of manual journal entries and ensuring appropriate cost allocations
    • Maintains the accuracy of balance sheet accounts as assigned by the Plant Controller completion on a monthly/quarterly as required and follows up promptly on identified issues
    • Reconcile intercompany invoice activity
    • Calculate monthly Capital Expenses (cash out the door) for the facility
    • Calculate and analyze Gross/Net Sales and COGS for m21onthly Outlook and Annual Profit Plan
    • Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis
    • Support internal and external audit activities
    • Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Perform additional duties as directed
    Education / Experience / Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or business degree with equivalent experience in accounting
    • Three or more years of experience in an accounting/finance role involving standard cost
    • Manufacturing experience, automotive preferred
    • Excellent Excel skills (X, V and H Lookups, Pivot Tables, SumIfs, nested formulas)
    • SAP, SAP Ariba, QAD, Hyperion HFM
    • Excellent analytical capabilities
    • Ability to deal with changing priorities
