This position is based at our North Canton, Ohio location.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the activities of assigned exempt and non-exempt direct reports
Negotiate pricing agreements iwth major component suppliers
Create and implement department policies and standards
Prepare materials schedules in coordination with all operations departments
Oversee materials reduction and return programs
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.

The Buyer is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience in engineering or manufacturing operations preferred
Five or more years of purchasing experience
Excellent leadership capabilities
Engineering background is helpful/preferred
