- Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statement disclosures relating to income tax.
- Calculate quarterly federal and state estimated income tax payments.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the tax compliance process.
- Maintain tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely completion and filing of all scheduled items.
- Manage and review the accurate and timely filing of all federal and state income tax returns.
- Manage federal income tax examinations and responses to various tax notices.
- Regularly review tax news for pending and enacted law changes, update tax department and systems.
- Review tax implications of new business, including joint ventures and due diligence for M&A.
- Write memos supporting tax positions taken on financial statements and tax returns including VA & UTPs.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
- MST, MBT required.
- Active CPA required.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Tax within Public Accounting or Corporate Tax environment.
- A mixture of Public Accounting and Corporate Tax is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge in online tax research.
- Effective work style and achieving quality results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organization and customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Strong understanding of both federal and state income tax regulations.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and OneSource Income Tax, a plus.
- Overseeing the accounting for income taxes and corporate income tax filings.
- Coordinating both the preparation and reviewing tax returns.
- Coaching; managing and developing a team.
