    We are looking for someone that is a company and team minded individual who is solution focused, a problem solver, driven to add value and advance the business. Open and willing to wear multiple hats to meet the daily needs of the business. This is a full and/or part time position in the salon. We have two locations (840 Willow rd, Northbrook IL and bouncing between both locations is favored but not mandatory.

    Customer Service

    • Model and provide stellar salon experience for all guests, serve guest from beginning to end
    • Manage appointment book to allow the salon to run smoothly
    • Support and problem solve with service providers as situations arise and quickly resolve to prevent escalations
    • Dress polished and professional for high end cut and color salon
    • Work and cover the front desk as needed

    Sales

    • Fill last minute openings, drive retail sales and upsell services to maximize opportunities and meet salon sales goals
    • Motivate stylists to sell, identify incentives, help them to reach personal and salon goals
    • Run sales reports and identify growth opportunities for business

    Training/Recruitment/Coaching

    • Assist management team with hiring, recruiting and training of all new hires
    • Develop and promote stylist and support staff
    • Update and keep training manuals current
    • Identify opportunities and implement improved processes/procedures
    • Create and communicate new procedures internally
    • Address sensitive topics with employees, e.g. dress code, timeliness, customer service, etc.
    • Serve as resource to staff, "the go to person," be approachable and willing to help

    Inventory/Website/Salon Supplies

    • Place and receive shop supply and retail orders with salon distributors to meet the business needs
    • Define model quantities and order points for products with owner
    • Manage credits and product returns with distributors
    • Provide list and if needed shop for salon groceries
    • Coordinate weekly flower order for salon
    • Enter new products into Meevo and Shopify
    • Fulfill website client orders
    • Ensure product inventory accuracy across all systems

    Register/Cash Management

    • Oversee cash drawer is on and service/product purchases are accurately recorded
    • Place hair extension orders and allocate proper funds to house and stylist
    • Maintain fresh cash change purses at home location

    Miscellaneous Management Duties

    • Full time accessibility
    • Serve as back up to Dir of Operations, assist with projects to better business
    • Attend staff meetings
    • Manage phone system when closing early, holidays, etc. as needed
    • Open/extend schedules and adjust service timing for stylists

    Time Expectations

    In our Vernon Hills Location we are looking for some nights ( Wednesday and Thursday ) and Saturdays we are currently open Tuesday through Sunday, you can expect Sundays and Mondays off.

    In our Northbrook Location, we are open 7 days a week and have days,nights, and weekends available.
