    Overview

    Working under the guidance of the Food and Beverage Supervisor, the Restaurant Host is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing the seating rotation of restaurant servers, assisting guests with seating arrangements, menus, cutlery, beverages, and special seating requirements. Additionally, the host plays a crucial role in promoting monthly Casino offers and daily restaurant specials to enhance the overall guest experience.

    While this list details primary responsibilities, additional tasks may be required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum age of 18 years.
    • Six months of prior work experience.
    • Must acquire an ABLE liquor license.
    • Completion of pre-employment drug screening and holding an Osage Nation gaming license.
    • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
    • Verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
    • Preference given to Osage, Native American, and Veteran applicants.
    • Ability to perform all job duties with or without accommodations.

    Responsibilities

    GUEST SERVICE:

    • Delivering exceptional internal and external guest service, demonstrating respect and courtesy at all times.
    • Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude.

    COMMUNICATION:

    • Staying informed about company updates through various channels.
    • Sharing concerns and information with supervisors and following directives.
    • Providing suggestions for enhancements and following the chain of command.
    • Identifying and reporting any unsafe behaviors.

    DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:

    • Welcoming and seating guests, informing them about promotions and specials.
    • Ensuring guest satisfaction by surpassing expectations.
    • Managing waitlists, monitoring server rotations, and table statuses.
    • Handling guest inquiries, phone calls, and to-go orders.
    • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the host area and server stations.
    • Assisting guests for a positive dining experience.
    • Performing additional assigned duties.

    REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

    • Cultivating positive relationships and ensuring compliance with regulations.
    • Adhering to company values, Osage Nation objectives, and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Proficiency in English language, reading, writing, and basic math.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow instructions.
    • Building and sustaining relationships with various stakeholders.
    • Communication skills in oral and written form.
    • Basic MS Office proficiency.
    • Exercising good judgment and problem-solving.
    • Handling inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
    • Maintaining physical stamina and staying updated in the field.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Standing, walking, sitting, and manual dexterity.
    • Ability to lift, reach, and communicate effectively.
    • Normal auditory and visual capabilities.
    • Endurance for physical tasks and ability to lift weights.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Operating in a Casino restaurant environment.
    • Possible exposure to second-hand smoke.
    • Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts.
    • Noisy working conditions at times.
    • Travel and potential exposure to hazards.
    • Potential contact with chemicals and dangerous materials.
    • Risks related to slipping or falling.
