    About the Role

    This position offers a rewarding opportunity to join our Clinical Services team as a Physician, providing high-quality care to patients in an urgent care setting.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will independently perform a wide range of clinical services, including treating acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. They will also be responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Clinical Services: Examining and treating patients, taking medical histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays, making diagnoses, and prescribing medications.
    • Treatment of Minor Injuries: Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting.
    • Patient Education and Counseling: Educating and counseling patients on their conditions and treatment plans.
    • Therapy and Referrals: Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients, giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school required.
    • Experience: 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required, with at least 18 months of experience in an applicable practice setting.
    • Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine, active state medical licensure, and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.

    Work Environment

    This role requires working an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift in an urgent care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
