- Consultation, assessment, and data analysis to support completion of functional assessments and positive behavior support plans

- Maintain current knowledge of national trends and innovations in community-based behavioral and mental health treatment for people with intellectual, and developmental disabilities

- Doctorate-level degree (e.g., Ph.
- Three years of post-doctoral psychology experience including one year supervising other professional psychologists
- One year's work experience with people who have an intellectual or developmental disability

The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) within the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), seeks a psychologist to join a tight-knit and dynamic team of psychologists and psychology associates whose mission is to ensure people with intellectual or developmental disabilities have the support they need to live healthy, safe, and inclusive lives.
Your work will be accomplished utilizing both remote and in-person services which may require travel, and some overnight may be necessary.
You'll support DSHS and DDA's mission to serve people with an intellectual, developmental disability who are transferring from one residential or custodial setting to another and are at risk of losing a residential provider due to changes in the person's assessed needs; are discharging from hospitals, are returning to Washington state from out of state treatment services and are transferring to a different residential setting based on the person's choice of providers.
As part of a state-wide transition team, you provide direct support through case consultation, technical assistance, plan writing, staff training, and training people with intellectual, and developmental disabilities.
You will build system capacity and competency of DDA staff and service providers who work with people with intellectual, and developmental disabilities who are also diagnosed with mental health or behavioral needs.
You'll work closely with regional Clinical Teams and Transition Team members.Additionally, the Transition Psychologist 3 works with the person with an intellectual, or developmental disability, family members, guardians, others that support the person with an intellectual, or developmental disability, community service providers, as well as residential and employment providers.
You report to the Transition Team Psychologist 4, who is responsible for clinical supervision and administrative review of work.Snohomish County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.

You do not need to be currently licensed to apply. Clinical supervision that counts toward licensure is possible as part of this opportunity. In this case, you would not have to pay out-of-pocket for clinical supervision or moonlighting in a private practice.
