- Receives, reviews, processes, and distributes confidential and sensitive documents
- Processes documents related to a misdemeanor, felony, and civil cases
- Updates electronic records
- Researches records and disburses information
- Records and documents court proceedings
- Receives and processes payments, fees, or bonds
- Compiles reports and summaries of work
- Schedules gathers materials and prepares agendas for various court hearings
- May issue search or fugitive warrants, and generate warrants and orders to show cause
- May notify attorneys regarding continuances
- Composes, formats, and types correspondence, reports, and other documents
- May answer incoming phone calls
- May assist other agencies with information and explaining procedures
- May orient and train other staff
- May prepare and maintain accounting and other records
- May handle and account for cash in various amounts
- Considerable knowledge of:
- Justice Court terms and meanings
- Office practices and procedures
- Rules and procedures of the department, including state and federal law
- Word documents, spreadsheets, and other computer applications
- Business English, spelling, and arithmetic
- Skill in:
- The operation and maintenance of a variety of office equipment
- Customer service
- Researching and problem solving
- Ability to:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public

Under supervision performs specialized office work of moderate difficulty; performs related work as assigned.Please note:
This is a limited appointment position that is contingent upon grant funding through the American Rescue Plan Act and is anticipated to end no later than December 31, 2024.
Typical Duties(Illustrative Only)
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: walking; sitting; lifting and carrying (1-50 lbs) of files supplies and mail; pushing/pulling carts, doors, filing cabinets (1-50 lbs); climbing stairs; working with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder) for telephone, typing filing, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years experience in clerical work and six months of experience in a Justice Court environment; OR, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass fingerprint clearance.
The ideal candidateis someone that is organized, detail oriented, who possess good customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications include previous court experience, previous experience working in a case management system, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
