    Description

    The Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking a full-time Medical Director for their clinical cancer genetics program based in Pittsburgh, PA.

    Highlights of Cancer Institute

    • New cutting-edge Academic Cancer Institute facility
    • Innovative scientific, translational, and clinical research with a new Genomics facility
    • Team of genetic counselors
    • Strong infrastructure to support the leader including advanced clinical grade somatic next generation sequencing (NGS), an immune monitoring and research lab, and a proteomics core lab.
    • Introduction of a system-wide biomarker discovery initiative to assist in personalized cancer therapies.
    • Extensive network of 23 locations in Western Pennsylvania, catering to over 8000 new cancer patients annually

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise genetic counselors
    • Establish programs for hereditary cancer risk assessment, genetic testing, and cancer screening and prevention
    • Oversee research endeavors in cancer genetics

    Requirements

    • Background in medical genetics
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
    • Pennsylvania License upon recruitment
