Description
Carpentry:
Assists members of a work crew at a work site which involves construction, alteration, repair, or modification of items and structures such as framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, rough furniture, interior and exterior trim, staircases, trusses, and beams, where accuracy, spacing, and fit are essential and structural soundness or appearance are important.
Painting:
Performs minor painting and determines the method, techniques, devices, and materials that are best suited to the surface finish required.
Prepares surfaces by methods such as smoothing with pumice and rottenstone, filling, shaping, and leveling with metal and synthetic resins, and mixing and applying pre-coating agents.
Equipment:
Incumbent will occasionally be required to operate engineer or motor vehicle equipment such as a front-end loader, dump truck, etc., to accomplish work requirements.
Motor Vehicle Operation:
Operates equipment such as but not limited to pick-up truck, dump truck, and skid steer. Transports personnel, material, equipment, etc. on a variety of roads including interstate highways.
Laboring:
Shovels snow from sidewalks.
Operates a variety of snow removal equipment and fixed and power attachments such as snow blowers, snowplows, front end loaders and spreaders used in cleaning snow from roadways and large paved areas.
