    Nursing Home Administrator Responsibilities

    The Nursing Home Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility to meet State and Federal regulations and supervises all department managers to ensure the facility is in compliance. The Administrator is responsible for the delivery of clinical services integrated with business plans while meeting or exceeding quality, clinical and utilization standards, performance measures, and financial productivity objectives. As an Administrator (Executive Director), you will also ensure premier customer service while facilitating resolutions of resident care issues.

    Nursing Home Administrator Requirements

    Active License as required by state law.

    Possess excellent knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, human resource development and management, nursing management, budget processes, and census and business development.

    Excellent work history in the long-term care industry.

    Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

    Previous Administrator (Executive Director) experience in a behavioral health setting required.

    Commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care.

    Possess effective communication skills to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, and governmental agencies, their representatives, and the community at large.

    Ability to implement facility and company philosophy of care.

    Ability to maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance.

    Must be dependable.
