    The Clarendale Six Corners is recruiting for a Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator.

    In this role you will be responsible planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being.

    Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Life Enrichment Coordinator:


    INTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • 1. Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment programs (Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program) on a monthly basis. Ensure active facilitation and successful implementation of the LCS Extraordinary Impressions hospitality program, LCS Cares Program and the Lifestyle & Healthy Services Program
    • 2. Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational. Ensure and exceed residents' wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees, as a result.
    • 3. Assist with planning and coordination of a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of lifestyle activity.
    • 4. Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
    • 5. Assist in tracking of activity participation for all Memory Care residents. Job Description -Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator Page 2 of 5
    • 6. Assist in communicating information to the Health and Wellness department regarding activity ability changes in status that may require resident Care Plan updates.
    • 7. Lead daily resident activities per our Community standards.
    • 8. Assist in gathering each resident's interests through the Social Spiritual History Assessment for planning person-centered approach activities.
    • 9. Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards.
    • 10. Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter
    • 11. Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents. 9. Assist the Director in maintaining an adequate supply of adult activity materials.
    • 12. Assist the Director in training all Memory Care staff on activity-related programs.
    • Has prior experience working with residents diagnosed with dementia
    • Comfortable with transporting residents in wheelchairs.
    • Basic knowledge of behaviors, and how to deescalate mid day sundowning.
    Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:


    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Associate's degree preferred
    • Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred
