Prism Veterinary Dentistry is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our thriving specialty dentistry practice in Manhattan's Flatiron district.

What You'll Do:
Keep surgical tables/areas clean and prepped for procedures
Aid clinical team with post-op patient recovery
Document surgical notes per doctor's or LVT's orders (e.g. dental charting)
Maintain surgical instruments
Support clinical team during patient consultations
Assist with inventory management
Fill/dispense medications per doctor's orders
Maintain clinical areas
Assist with the client-facing roles such as scheduling appointments, answering emails, and completing intakes and discharge
What We'd Like:
2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant
Desire to assist in client-facing tasks
Confident in Fear Free handling and restraint techniques
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as colleagues
The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
A commitment to the welfare of animals
