    The Headlines:

    In the role of Manager - Innovation Insights working in Chicago, IL, you will be a part of the Growth Accelerator team and work directly with the Innovation Team. You will be accountable for leading the development and communication of thoughtful learning plans. You will champion innovations with human-lead insights and consult and advice the innovation team on solutions. These solutions must drive value and sales for our consumers, our distributors, and our company.

    This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Innovation Insights and works very closely with innovation directors to deliver solutions that drive profitable growth for MCBC.

    The Responsibilities:

    Innovation Insights: Partners with Innovation Directors and managers to identify new whitespaces & winning innovations across beverages to bring to market, always with the consumer in mind. Identifies white spaces and emerging trends/emerging consumers to fuel future pipeline.

    • Sets the consumer learning agenda (and budgeting) for pipeline initiatives including opportunity identification, concept development & validation, naming, liquid testing, target definition, packaging development, positioning, etc.
    • Prioritizes key business questions to go answer. Using a toolkit of research approaches, this role is a key influencer on managing risk and encouraging reapplication of proven successes. Charged with balancing rigor and speed in pursuit of a learning agenda that will lead to the best propositions. Ensures we are building a pipeline of innovation across existing and emerging segments where a portion are led with multicultural insights.
    • This role will be responsible for integrating multiple data sources – both primary and secondary (consumer tracking, IRI, behavior tracking, custom quantitative research, various qualitative research projects, etc.) and cultural insights (Kantar, IWSR, WGSN) to drive strategic recommendations, inspire idea development and provide analysis and associated recommendations to teams
    • Driving and maintaining consistent approaches to consumer research across all elements of innovation. Lead new methodologies and approaches that maximize value for the investment & stay on top of new approaches to get the best consumer learning possible.

    • Extensive knowledge of consumer insights and the innovation landscape/process with ability to translate to impactful recommendations and white space opportunities
    • 4+ years of insights experience
    • Prior experience of CPG Consumer Insights or Innovation Insights
    • Undergraduate degree (or above) in Marketing, business or related curriculum preferred
    • Demonstrated executive presence & influence
