**POSITION TITLE: Driver / Warehouse Worker**
**DEPARTMENT: Warehouse**
**REPORTS TO: Operation Manager**
**STATUS: Full-time , hourly hours per week)**
**The Salvation Army Mission Statement:**

**Function of the Position:**
Oversee the warehouse/storage area. As the Driver, pick up and deliver to and from local retailers, and maintain well-established relationships
**Qualifications Required:**
Highschool diploma or GED
Have a current Food Handlers Card
Must have a valid Washington State Driver License with a clear driving record
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Knowledge and adaptation of FIFO (First In/First Out) practices
Knowledge and adaptation of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
Working knowledge of and ability to operate both a manual and power floor jack
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices, including guidelines on operating and cleaning all refrigeration units
Ability to adapt to changes in a working environment
Must be a team player committed to the common purpose of assisting those in need
**Summary of Job Duties:**
Organize, clean, and maintain all areas of the food storage/warehouse
Organize, clean, and maintain all refrigeration/freezer units in food storage/warehouse
Utilize work simplification techniques for effective use of time
Work with Operations manager and cooks in the organization of planned meals
Always use FIFO practices
Keep all walkways and aisles in food storage/warehouse clear of trip hazards for safety reasons
Always use HACCP practices
Record daily freezer and refrigerator temperatures
Schedule and report basic vehicle fleet maintenance. Recognize and report other needed vehicle repairs as they arise
Drive to scheduled and unscheduled donation pick-up sites in a timely manner. This might include local retailers, other area food banks, and occasional private donors
Greet all donors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
Follow a designated dress code/ TSA Shirts will be provided. Always wear closed-toe and skid-proof footwear
Work closely and oversee volunteers and court-ordered community service applicants who will from time to time assist in day-to-day duties
Carry out all other duties as assigned
**Physical Requirements:**
Ability to sit, walk, bend, squat, kneel and/or twist on an intermittent or continual basis
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as bins, drawers, and reaching overhead
Ability to carry and move food cartons
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
**Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essentials of the position with or without accommodations.
