- Greet all members and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Check for accuracy and completion of membership applications
- Enter membership applications into the membership database program in a timely manner
- Monitor visitor/volunteer attendance
- Maintain accurate daily records of membership and attendance information
- Produce periodic statistical reports on membership applications, attendance, dues, fees, etc.
- Responsible for the collection of fees and completion of deposit slip
- Create bus rosters
- Calculate ELC Payments prior to the due date for payments and place in the payment book for the amount due
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, provide information, take a message, or forward to other staff as needed
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems while making sure they are accurate, timely, and easily retrieved as needed
- Check answering machine daily and respond to or forward any messages as necessary
- Double check parent sign-out for ELC& JWB
- Contact any members that are not in regular attendance
- Inform members, visitors, and parents of all the program options the Club has to offer
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all activities within the building and answer questions that may be directed with reference to the Club's policies and procedures
- Stamp, sort and distribute all incoming mail; handle any outgoing mail
- Make photocopies of documents as required
- Communicate to supervisor any pertinent contact from family, school, businesses or staff
- Follow policies and procedures in responding to emergencies and/or safety issues
- Promote and participate in open and effective communication and support with the team
- Attend and prepare for all required meetings such as staff meetings, in-service meetings, monitoring meetings and required staff training
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Creativity with the ability to make tasks seem fun
- Must be flexible
- Must be responsible
- Must be able to be able to engage with school children of all ages
- Willing to complete organization sponsored CPR training

Job DescriptionDescription:ORGANIZATION MISSION
The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle. In partnership with the Salvation Army, this is a faith-based Boys & Girls Club with staff serving as positive Christian role models for youth.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Club Director, the Membership Specialist will provide regular clerical and administrative support for the Club. The incumbent will be responsible for data entry of membership applications, preparing correspondence, answering telephones, maintaining electronic and hard copy member and employee files, ensuring all files are compliant with licensing guidelines.
TRAVEL:
There will be limited to no travel required in this position.
