    Description
    Overview VTG is seeking an Aircraft Painter in Patuxent River, MD in support of the Presidential Helicopters Support Program
    What will you do?


    • Performs surface preparation, treatment and painting of components, small aircraft surface areas, aircraft panels, support equipment, or other items as directed, with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices.
    • Masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted.
    • Working knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.
    • Familiar with the application of vinyl graphics
    Do you have what it takes?

    Education:
    High School Education or equivalent
    Specialty Training courses applicable to the functional area, including Corrosion Control.

    Experience:

    Minimum of three (3) years actual and recent experience in the preparation and painting of aircraft, support equipment, and allied component surfaces.


    Knowledge:
    Must be knowledgeable of military publications, microfilm, and diagrams
    Must be knowledgeable of Federal, State, Military and/or company EPA or OSHA forms required by work requirements.

    Security Clearance:
    Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and YW access.

    • Unless stated otherwise in the individual labor category, experience must be within the last five years
    • Individuals released from Military Service with other than "Honorable Discharges" do not meet minimum qualifications
    • The Government will review Contractor qualifications and certifications to verify compliance with the NAVAIRINST series, CNAFINST series and the terms and conditions of this contract
    • Rotary Wing Aircraft experience required, S-92, H-3 and H-60 experience preferred, H-3A/D and/or H-60 B/F/N series experience desired.
